How to wash your favorite dishes by hand

Cómo lavar tu vajilla favorita a mano

Simplify your task: wash dishes by hand in an effective way.

Proper preparation

Before you dive into the task of washing dishes, make sure your countertop area is clear. Throw leftover food in the trash. This will make the washing process easier for you later. It is very important to avoid pouring grease down the drain, as it could clog the pipes and cause long-term plumbing problems in your kitchen.

Step by step for efficient washing

  1. Prepare the sink : fill the sink halfway with hot water and add our No. 400 dish soap with organic lemongrass to create foam. It is essential to start with a clean sink to ensure the hygiene of your dishes. Make sure the water is as hot as you can tolerate for best washing results.

  2. Washing order – Establish a logical order for washing dishes. Start with the least dirty items, such as cutlery and glasses, and gradually work your way up to the dirtiest items, such as plates and pots. Soaking the most difficult-to-clean utensils for a few minutes helps loosen stuck-on food and makes it easier to clean later.

  3. Scrub carefully : Under running water, use a sponge, our copper scrubber or cloth to clean the dishes in circular motions. Hold dishes under water while washing so stuck-on food can loosen more easily. If there are stubborn food residues, apply a little more dish soap and scrub firmly but without damaging the dishes.

  4. Proper rinsing : Use hot water to rinse the dishes until the soap suds are completely gone. Be sure to rinse several times to ensure no soap residue remains on the dishes. It's also important to rinse the inside of bowls and glasses to remove any residue.

  5. Drying and Storage : Once rinsed, let the dishes air dry on a dish drainer or a clean cloth. Avoid drying dishes with a dirty cloth, as this could recontaminate them with germs. If you don't have a dish drainer, place the dishes upside down, tilted at 45º so that the water falls under their own weight, on a clean cloth on the counter and let them dry for at least 15 minutes.

Keep your sink clean

After washing the dishes, wash the sink with hot water and our No. 400 Dishwasher or No. 410 Universal Cleaner. Be sure to clean all areas of the sink, especially those with food debris or grease. If he sink is very dirty, you can fill it with water and add a little O xygen Booster Nº04 , letting it sit for a few minutes before emptying and cleaning it.

Additional Tips for Efficient Washing

  • Be careful when handling knives and avoid placing them in the sink where they may be difficult to see.
  • If your dishes have burnt-on food or stubborn stains, let them soak in the sink with hot water and a few drops of dish soap for 10 minutes before washing them.
  • For stubborn stains on ceramic dishes or baking trays, you can create a paste with our Oxygen Booster No. 04, and apply it to the stains before scrubbing them with a sponge.

With these simple steps and additional tips, washing dishes by hand becomes a quick, efficient and, above all, hygienic task. By maintaining a regular cleaning routine, you ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment for you and your family.
